You can also use the new electronic prescription (E-Rezept) here at Pinguin Apotheke, we are well prepared for it.
Our pharmacy is equipped with the necessary components of the telematics infrastructure (TI) - these include a secure router (connector), the institutional card (SMC-B) and the health professional card (HBA).
Prescription on App
For most patients, the E-Rezept will not become relevant as a mandatory legal application until 1 January 2022, when doctors' practices nationwide will only be able to issue E-Rezept and no longer analogue prescriptions. For the purely digital administration of the E-Rezept, patients need
- the nationally standardised E-Rezept app from gematik,
- an NFC-enabled smartphone (NFC = Near Field Communication, a standard for contactless data transmission), and an
- NFC-enabled health card including PIN from their health insurance company.
Alternatively, you can also obtain a paper printout of the respective e-prescription key and redeem it at the pharmacy.
The German Federal Chamber of Pharmacists has put together a website with information on the electronic prescription. The e-prescription is scheduled to come in 2022. You can also find more information at: https://www.daserezeptkommt.de.
